The role

The Enterprise Business Representative (EBR) contributes to the Affinio mission by connecting potential clients with the Affinio platform. The EBR lays the foundation for the Sales team by generating new business through targeted outbound prospecting as well as following up on inbound marketing leads, qualifying their needs and building rapport via web contact and phone. The EBR is a primary lead source for the Account Executive (AE) team, and develops relationships with private and public sector entities including advertising agencies, brands, and government organizations.

What you'll be doing

  • Generate quality leads via targeted communication (email, social networks, and phone)
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual lead generation targets
  • Nurture and build relationship with leads, with the aim of qualifying them for Account Executives
  • Research customers and uncover potential verticals
  • Utilize CRM to track all pertinent information related to the opportunity and effectively manage leads
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product features
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Sales teams
  • If necessary, host online presentations and product demonstrations
  • Limited local travel may be required
  • Other duties as required

What we're looking for

  • A passion for business development, marketing and relationship building
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or related field of study, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • 1+ years experience in B2B or B2C Sales considered an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be comfortable talking to high-level executives on the phone and via online correspondence
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to learn
  • Must be able to work in both autonomous and collaborative environments
  • Must be highly organized and work well with priority changes and/or pressure
  • Must be capable of self-guided learning to solve problems when necessary
  • Strong research skills
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Positive attitude and the desire to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional results
  • Knowledge of tools such as Salesforce, Google Apps, etc. an asset
  • Experience with market research and customer service an asset
  • An established business appropriate Twitter handle and LinkedIn considered an asset
